Australian online casino is one of the best online casinos to play at in the minds of many gamblers. This is because they offer you a sign up bonus and they seem to always have some healthy jackpots. Not to mention the fact that they have tons of casino games for you to choose from so it makes it like you are at a live casino. The only difference is you are able to play from the comfort of your home but your casino etiquette should still remain the same as to if you are at an actual casino.

Another thing people like about Australian online casino is the fact that they accept a wide variety of payment methods and their customer support is available twenty four hours a day seven days a week. They have online live chat support that is available during certain hours of the day and they also make it very easy for you to get started. However before you even think about signing in and playing any type of games at the online casino you first need to make sure that you have your casino game plan in place first to make sure that you have a great time and do not lose a lot of money.

When coming up with your game plan you first need to think about how much money you can afford to lose. The reason behind this is because you know that you may win some but it is possible that you may lose it all. So, once you have decided how much money you can afford to lose that will be your limit. When you think about your limit it is always important to calculate it by the amount that you are playing. So, if your limit is $100 that is all that you should spend no matter how much money you win back because that is the way to profit and it is also the way to keep yourself from developing a gambling addiction. Lastly, you will want to decide beforehand which games you are going to play and how much you will bet on each game.

Having assisted in the construction of the Greek government’s new proposals to licence and regulate online gambling, Betfair is less than pleased at the outcome and has taken its concerns to the European Commission, the group’s legal director revealed this week.

The EC is currently considering the Greek proposals, on which it is due to respond early next (July) month.

Betfair’s legal director, Martin Cruddace, claims that there are elements within the Greek draft that are incompatible with EU law and principles generally, and discriminate against Betfair particularly.

Betfair’s complaint is based on four specific elements:

* A blanket ban on betting exchanges – an area in which the group is both market leader and pioneer;

* The Greek insistence that licensees should establish a Greek corporate presence, and the tax consequences of such a move;

* The provision in the draft requiring licensees to situate their servers and e-processing within Greece; and

* The demand that online customers must obtain a special player’s identity card.

Although the draft is still with the EC, on the domestic front it was withdrawn from the Greek parliament recently after opposition parties objected to its contents. The bill has had a troubled passage marked by extensive debate and revisions.

The on-again, off-again HR2267 Internet Gambling Regulation, Consumer Protection, and Enforcement Act authored by Congressman Barney Frank and supported by almost 70 so-sponsors (see previous InfoPowa reports) may be back centre-stage soon, according to the Poker Players Alliance, a US players association with over a million members that is active on the American political scene.

According to PPA officials at the 41st World Series of Poker currently taking place in Las Vegas, the proposal could be marked up as early as next week, presumably in the House Financial Services Committee, which Congressman Frank chairs.

The bill was introduced in the House last May, but has been delayed by the volume of other financial work in the committee, and probably by careful tactical timing by the Congress-smart Frank.

The PPA recently raised an additional $27 000 for its campaigning through a widespread appeal, or ‘money bomb’ to its 1.2 million members (see previous InfoPowa reports). The cash will be used to fund political publication advertising targeted on Washington politicians.

Frank continues to play his cards close to his chest, with PPA executive director John Pappas telling an ESPN interviewer at WSOP that the politician has hinted that a mark-up may be imminent.

The last hearing on HR2267 was in the Financial Services Committee last December when the usual for and against arguments were offered. At that time the senior (and anti-online gambling) Republican representative, Spencer Bachus, protested at the absence of officials from the US Treasury and the Federal Reserve – two key federal government departments involved in the much-delayed drafting of the regulations supporting the UIGEA, which were implemented on 1st June this year.

Dragonfish, the B2B division of 888 Holdings plc, has launched Rollover Bingo, a groundbreaking new services deal with group subsidiary Cashcade through which players can enter the UK National Lottery.

Rollover Bingo is the twentieth standalone network to launch on Dragonfishs bingo platform, which empowers Cashcade with the bingo software platform, chat moderators, ePayments, and fraud and risk management services.

Rollover Bingo marketing includes an innovative arrangement through which players are offered entry to the UK National Lottery as a bonus, with punters receiving free syndicated entry into the National Lottery draw for every GBP 5 spent on bingo cards.

Cashcade brands include some of the biggest brands in the UK bingo market, including Foxy Bingo, Cheeky Bingo and Think Bingo, all of which are standalone networks powered by Dragonfish bingo software.

Gigi Levy, acting managing director of Dragonfish and CEO of 888 Holdings, said: We are delighted to further our relationship with Cashcade. The launch of Rollover Bingo demonstrates the flexibility of the Dragonfish offering, which allows seamless integration of a variety of third party applications onto the bingo platform. In this instance the integration platform provides the ability to enter the National Lottery for free through the site, giving it a unique differentiator and a strong platform for growth.

On Friday, a drop in one of the most stable economies in the world—Dubai—caused a panic in the global financial sector. In a related event earlier last week, the announcement that Dubai World—a major partner in MGM’s massive Las Vegas CityCenter project—would be restructuring as a result of Dubai’s significant debt had many skeptics worried that the restructure would mean a debt default on Dubai World’s behalf.

MGM Mirage was quick to address these concerns. On Thursday, they released a statement assuring the public that CityCenter would be “unaffected by Dubai World’s announcement.” Furthermore, they went on to say that the project is “fully funded” and that the finished portion of the project will start accepting guests this week as scheduled.

Perhaps the days of heavily publicized forehead tattoos and holy cheese toast purchases are coming to a close here in the good ole US of A, for it looks as if Golden Casino will be officially ceasing all acceptance of American players come December 1, 2009. Oh wait, that was Golden Palace Casino, which it just so happens, has long been closed to U.S. players – shortly following the passing of the UIGEA.

Okay, so maybe Golden Casino didn’t have a “museum of oddities” per say, but they certainly held a similar lion’s share of U.S. online gambling traffic similar to what Golden Palace Casino once took in. And all that will soon be changing. American Golden Casino players have hitherto been enjoying a loop hole within the 2005 UIGEA, only making it illegal to make direct payments to an online gambling operator.

However, now it seems these “indirect” payments have gotten too close for comfort for Golden Casino, as legal pressure has apparently begun mounting for the popular online casino to pull out of the United States for good. Just last month, a bank account apparently traced back to Golden Casino was seized with $365,000. I suppose you could call it pressure or blackmail? Take you pick. Either way, it’s Golden Casino’s new owners who perceive a growing threat.
Indeed, it looks as if much of the shift to back out of the U.S. is due to a pending change in the ownership of Golden Casino, as a casino rep explained in a brief statement, “Golden Casino is in the process of being sold, and under the new ownership, Golden Casino will no longer be accepting new players from the U.S. as of December 1, 2009.”

Details of the sale have not been disclosed as of yet, although it is a given that Hambledon N.V. (current owners of Golden Casino) are working to have the deal go through. It also looks as if Golden Casino will continue using Vegas Technology Software, which licenses some of the most popular U.S. facing online casinos in business today. The large hole left by Golden Casino will also profit many U.S. facing RTG Casinos, who along with Vegas Technology, truly offer the absolute best online casino betting options to U.S. players..

Current U.S. account holders at Golden Casino need not worry about losing their account privileges at Golden Casino, for the change in ownership will only be affecting future players and not any players or affiliates who previously held accounts with Golden Casino.

On June 22 of this year, CryptoLogic met with the folks at Marvel Comics to extend their deal a third time, guaranteeing the company exclusive rights to develop casino games using Marvel Comics characters until 2013. When Disney’s acquisition of Marvel Entertainment was announced last month, comic book geeks weren’t the only fanatics worried that the merger might affect their favorite hobby.

Thousands of CryptoLogic game fans took to the web to ask if this was the end of the Superheroes slot series that already features 17 character-themed slots, including the hugely popular titles of Spider-Man, X-Men and Fantastic Four.

While CryptoLogic’s 2009 licensing agreement remains valid—for now, it will inevitably expire in only a few years and industry insiders worry that the squeaky clean Walt Disney Company will be reluctant to renew the partnership.

While players may be worried, CryptoLogic is not. VP Justin Thouin released a confident statement on behalf of the company late last week. In it, Thouin confirmed that CryptoLogic retains the right to continue producing Marvel Superheroes slots until “at least” 2013. He went on to assert that they don’t expect “the potential purchase of Marvel by Disney to impact our ability to continue to offer these games.”
